Tonga Pearls are a product manufactured under controlled conditions, completely new and therefore unique limestone material, the composition and crystal structure of which corresponds to natural coral sand. Due to their nature and very white appearance, Tonga Pearls are ideal as substrate in marine aquariums.
Tonga Pearls are also ideal for invertebrates such as anemones, cylinder roses, tube worms and wrasses , as the animals can burrow with ease. Furthermore, this substrate is easily chewed by gobies. Tonga Pearls correspond in their crystal structure to the limestone skeleton of corals and thus lay the foundation for a well-functioning aquarium. Tonga Pearls are not a fossil material. They are not obtained by mining rock or by taking them from the sea and are therefore resource-saving and free of any contamination.
