As this is a natural product varience in colour, texture, shape and size are to be expected.
Driftwood can realease tannis as it waterlogs and may discolour the water of your aquarium.
To remove tannins from your water we recommend adding carbon or Seachem Purigen to your filtration system to aid in the removal of any discolouration.
Alternatively you can soak your diftwood in a separate container until excess tannins are removed.
